De Montfort University Kazakhstan Hosts Speed Networking Day for Business, Economics & Finance Students
February 5, 2025 – Almaty, Kazakhstan – De Montfort University Kazakhstan (DMUK) successfully hosted a dynamic Speed Networking Day, providing Business Management, Economics, and Finance students with a unique opportunity to connect with leading recruiters and explore career prospects.
The event brought together professional recruiters from 12 prominent companies, including JAS Agency, DASM Group (Mega Development), Efes Kazakhstan, KPMG Caucasus and Central Asia, Air Astana, Kex Group, BDO Qazaqstan, Mars Kazakhstan, Halyk Life, Genesis, 1Fit, and Deloitte. Organized in three 60-minute sessions, the format allowed students to engage in focused 5-minute conversations with each recruiter. This structure enabled them to introduce themselves, ask career-related questions, and leave a lasting impression. The event was expertly moderated by Yulia Vassilenko, an IT recruiter from Kcell, who ensured smooth coordination and an engaging atmosphere.
The Speed Networking Day served as a valuable stepping stone for students, offering direct access to industry professionals and insights into potential career paths. Many participants left with new connections, a deeper understanding of employer expectations, and inspiration for their future careers.
For participating companies, the event was equally impactful, providing an opportunity to meet over 30 talented students eager to explore internship and employment opportunities.
