Medical Documents for Admission:

Students submit the following documents upon admission:

  • A medical certificate of health (form No. 086/u).
  • A chest X-ray (fluorography) with a report.

International students must have a copy of their immunization card and undergo the necessary examinations directly in the city of Almaty. We also recommend that international students purchase a voluntary medical insurance package to cover medical treatment and hospitalization for serious cases.

Annual Medical Check-Up
Kazakhstani law requires full-time students to undergo a standard medical examination at the beginning of the academic year, which includes a fluorographic test and a health certificate (Form No. 086/u) to be provided to the university.

Certificate of Exemption for Sickness
The DMUK Medical Office does not issue sick notes and has no authority to excuse students from classes or examinations. Such decisions are made by the university administration on the basis of the sick leave received by the student at the polyclinic in the place of residence.

A student who is absent from classes due to illness will submit a sick note to the DMUK medical center. Based on this sheet, the doctor sends confirmation to the student's professors.

The Medical Office reserves the right to send inquiries to medical institutions to determine the authenticity of the medical certificate provided by the student. If the certificate is not authentic, the physician will notify the university administration.
