IYZ is a one-of-a-kind foundation in Kazakhstan offering the robustness of a British curriculum and well-designed interdisciplinary content unique to the Kazakhstan campus. What is Interdisciplinary content in IYZ?

The foundation year will see students taking a variety of required courses. Not only will this year help you decide which programme is the best fit for you, but you will complete IYZ with a robust and diverse knowledge and skill set. The curriculum will also help students to familiarise themselves with DMUK’s approaches to teaching, feedback and assessment, which will in turn ready them for the challenges of their degrees and future success.

  • The programme offers innovative teaching and learning, with specialist pathways into a range of subject areas - IT, Business & Law, Graphic Design

  • DMU Leicester and our English (EAP) curriculum are the only higher education institution in Britain to be a global hub for the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) focusing on English development and skill-specific knowledge

  • Students completing the IYZ EAP will be knowledgeable in SDG-16, writing and discussing “peace, justice, and strong institutions”

What is Interdisciplinary content in IYZ?

  • English Language
    Standard entry IELTS 5.0 average and TOEFL 35 out of 120 with each section (Reading, Listening, Speaking and Writing) to be not less than 9. Students with a lower IELTS will be required to study a pre-sessional English programme.
