Russian language teacher

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Teaching students, taking into account the specifics of the subject taught and the age of the student.
  • Teaching Russian language to university employees, including foreign employees.
  • Creation and development of programs and materials necessary for the successful outcome of both students and employees.
  • Continuous updating of programs, techniques, age-appropriate approaches to Russian language teaching.

Job Duties:

  • Provides instruction to students in accordance with the specifics of the subject matter taught, conducts lessons and other classes according to the schedule in the specified areas.
  • The teacher is required to have a thematic plan of work on the subject for each group and a work plan for each lesson.
  • Uses a variety of techniques, methods and means of teaching in his work on the subject. Implements educational programs. May rearrange the topics of the lessons in individual sections of the program at his discretion. Conducts with the students the number of tests and practical works established by the curriculum, as well as the necessary educational excursions. Provides the level of training that meets the requirements of the university and is responsible for their implementation.
  • Maintains the required academic records, performs current monitoring of student progress and attendance in class, posts current grades in the university’s software/electronic journal, and submits the necessary reporting data to the administration in a timely manner.
  • Works in the examination committee for the final certification of students.
  • Admits university administration to their classes to monitor the work.
  • Replaces classes of absent teachers by order of the administration.
  • Observes the Charter of the Institution, Internal Regulations, the requirements of this instruction, as well as other local acts of the institution, orders and instructions of the university administration.
  • Observes the rights and freedoms of students, contained in the Laws of RK.
  • Carries out communication with parents of students (or their legal representatives).
  • Systematically raises the professional qualification. Participates in various forms of methodical work.
  • According to the annual plan of work of university takes part in pedagogical councils, industrial meetings, meetings at the principal, parent’s meetings, and also subject sections which are carried out by the higher organization.
  • Passes periodically necessary medical examinations.
  • Adheres to ethical standards of conduct, sets an example for students and employees.
  • Works together with the university librarian and parents to organize activities for students to develop their level of Russian.
  • Organizes with colleagues activities, participation in tenders, projects in the subject and, if possible, extracurricular work in the subject.

Must know:

  • Legislative acts of RK in the field of education and normative legal documents on the issues of education;
  • Basics of labor legislation;
  • Pedagogy, psychology, age physiology;
  • Methods, progressive pedagogical technologies of training;
  • Content, principles of organization of subject teaching;
  • Programmes, textbooks, manuals.
