The Country Director and the Global Head of Education at the British Council visited DMUK

Mr. Robert Taylor, the Country Director of the British Council, and Ms. Maddalaine Ansell, the Global Head of Education at the British Council (previously Chief Executive of the UK University Alliance), recently visited De Montfort University Kazakhstan (DMUK).

Ms. Ansell, who was in Almaty to attend the British Council Forum on Internationalisation: Quality Assessment and Approaches, took the opportunity to explore DMUK further. The visit included meetings with senior management, interaction with students, and a comprehensive tour of the campus and facilities. Ms Ansell viewed DMUK as an exciting example of a successful UK campus (TNE) university.

Mr. Taylor commended the university, expressing his appreciation for the insightful briefing provided by senior management of the university and concluded stating “Congratulations on all your work there, De Montfort University Kazakhstan is really impressive.”

The visit underscores the growth of international collaboration in Higher Education and also recognition of DMUK’s commitment to providing quality British education to students in Kazakhstan.
