Senior management team of DMU Leicester and DMUK visited Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
De Montfort University Leicester Vice-Chancellor Professor Katie Normington, Pro Vice-Chancellor Mr Simon Bradbury, De Montfort University Kazakhstan Chairman of Board of Governors Mr Mike Gifford OBE and President Mrs Sakina Zafar and DMU Associate Dean, International Mr Ian Thomas visited Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
DMU Leicester and DMU Kazakhstan representatives touched on DMU’s ranking for student start-ups, the university’s role as an impact hub for UN SDG 16, and strengths in cyber security and the creative industries. DMU Leicester also expressed the desire that each of its overseas hubs fully integrate into the local landscape.
Mr Sayasat Nurbek stressed the contribution of the DMUK university to the country’s higher education and was very supportive of the DMUK project and the positive progress that has been made by the university since opening last year.
