DMUK Workshop on Career Development
December 11, Almaty, Kazakhstan – De Montfort University Kazakhstan (DMUK) prioritises preparing its students for success in the current competitive job market. As part of this effort, DMUK’s Careers Hub invited Kamila Khassanova, People & Culture Agile Business Partner at JTI, as the guest speaker to host a workshop on “Career Development: What Should Be Done to Start Planning Your Career Now.”
Ms. Khassanova delivered an insightful session, sharing practical strategies for students to create a structured career plan. She offered advice on setting clear, achievable goals, identifying personal strengths, and adapting to the rapidly evolving global job market. A highlight of the workshop was an interactive exercise where students mapped out their career paths, identified their core competencies, and developed actionable steps to reach their desired positions.
Additionally, Ms. Khassanova introduced JTI’s Make It Bright internship programme, a unique initiative offering students and graduates the opportunity to begin their professional journeys with one of the leading global companies. She provided a detailed overview of the programme and highlighted how it could help participants gain hands-on experience and develop critical skills to advance their careers.
The workshop attracted members of the DMUK Careers Club and other students eager to enhance their career prospects. 15 attendees enjoyed the session for its practicality and relevance, particularly the real-world examples and actionable insights shared. Events like this underscore DMUK’s commitment to bridging academic knowledge with real-world applications, empowering students to confidently navigate their professional journeys.
