De Montfort University Kazakhstan Marketing Students Visit Pepsico Central Asia Office
January 24, Almaty, Kazakhstan – Ten final-year Business and Marketing students from De Montfort University Kazakhstan (DMUK) had the opportunity to visit PepsiCo’s Central Asia headquarters. The visit included a comprehensive tour of the office, interactions with the marketing team to discuss products and market strategies, and detailed insights into internship programmes available to graduates.
The trip started with a guided tour led by Kamila Mazherenova, PepsiCo Go Communications Intern, and Margarita Popova, Communications Supervisor for PepsiCo Central Asia. They showcased the company’s workspace, including meeting rooms and open-plan areas, while emphasizing PepsiCo’s inclusive and dynamic culture. PepsiCo fosters a welcoming environment committed to helping employees grow, learn, and develop, with flexible work policies that boost engagement and work-life balance.
Following the tour, Alena Rybak, HR Lead Central Asia, engaged with the students in a general meeting. She addressed various questions about the company and elaborated on internship and employment opportunities for graduates. Alena provided insights into the PepsiCo Go programme, which offers participants the chance to explore the FMCG sector closely and actively participate in industry processes.
The session continued with a presentation by Tatiana Andrushenko, Marketing Manager for the Snack Category in Central Asia, and Darya Pavlova, Head of DX in Central Asia. Tatiana discussed PepsiCo’s marketing approaches, highlighting the successful launch of Lay’s Beshbarmak-flavored chips, which received positive consumer feedback and numerous international awards. PepsiCo’s marketing strategy focuses on consumer-centric innovation, leveraging data and empathy to anticipate consumer needs.
Darya then detailed the role of her department, explaining strategies and approaches to collaborating with retailers to promote the company’s products among consumers. The Demand Development Department focuses on optimizing product availability and visibility in stores, ensuring that marketing strategies align with sales execution.The students found the presentation highly informative and engaged actively, posing numerous questions about internships and the roles of various specialists to gain a deeper understanding of the company’s operations.
