De Montfort University Kazakhstan and British Council Announce Partnership to Offer Paper-Based IELTS Exam in Almaty
Almaty, Kazakhstan – October 23, 2023 – De Montfort University Kazakhstan (DMUK), the first British university campus in Kazakhstan, is pleased to announce an exciting new partnership with the British Council to deliver the IELTS on Paper (IOP) exam in Almaty. This exciting collaboration further solidifies the strong relationship between the British Council and DMUK, as envisioned in the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two institutions.
The Centre for English Language Learning (CELL) at De Montfort University Kazakhstan has been the British Council IELTS registration center for over a year, offering invaluable support to students and test-takers alike. With this new partnership, DMUK’s CELL will extend its services to become an official IELTS on Paper test center, facilitating an even greater opportunity for individuals seeking to prove their English language proficiency.
CELL’s primary focus lies in providing academic English support to university students, conducting highly successful IELTS preparation classes, and delivering specialized Business English courses to the Almaty corporate sector. The center’s expertise in English language learning and IELTS preparation makes it the perfect host for this renowned English language assessment.
Starting November 18, 2023, prospective test-takers will be able to experience the IELTS on Paper exam in the modern and state-of-the-art facilities offered by De Montfort University Kazakhstan. The campus is conveniently located at the Essentai Business Park, situated just off Al Farabi Avenue, providing a comfortable and accessible testing environment for candidates.
This collaboration opens the doors for IELTS on Paper test-takers in Almaty, with the capacity for up to 100 candidates to sit the exam simultaneously, providing a greater opportunity for individuals to showcase their English language proficiency.
Furthermore, this partnership sets a precedent for De Montfort University’s global expansion. De Montfort University Cambodia is set to become an IELTS exam center in the near future, strengthening the university’s commitment to facilitating English language assessment worldwide.
